As we wake up daily to news of disease outbreaks, secret invasions, imploding of countries and desperate pleas
of citizens for democracy, we wonder how our own actions can make a difference in our world.
One thing we know is: it is not too late for children, our future global citizens, to have a profound impact.
At Children’s International Summer Villages (CISV) programs this past summer, local children built relationships
with children from more than 25 countries, bringing home an understanding and affection for diverse cultures.
Our mission to inspire action for peace and justice in the world, has never been more vital.
CISV needs your help: our continued success depends on membership. Your volunteerism, membership dues,
donations and program participation fees keep CISV strong. As you consider your support of CISV, please also
consider optional support for either our Village or Scholarship Funds:
• Village Fund – This fund is allocated to the considerable expenses associated with hosting an international
Villages in summer 2015. Expenses include facility rental, utility costs, food service, art and craft materials,
excursions, etc.
• Scholarship Fund – This fund makes it possible to offer partial, need-based financial assistance. It helps
