CISV Parent Andrea Rizzi visits NYU at Abu Dhabi, UAE

Abu dabee AR 2

“In February, I was invited to participate in a counselor tour of New York University’s campus in Abu Dhabi, UAE. During my visit, students at the University from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas shared an object that reminded them of home and explained its significance. For me, watching and listening to these students reminded me of the CISV experiences our children have when they attend a Village, Youth Meeting, or Step-Up program. It was a beautiful and incredible blend of races, cultures and nationalities. Having students from such diverse backgrounds and cultures transforms the education that is being received in the classroom. If students want a collegiate experience that mirrors the experiences they are having through CISV, then they should seriously consider NYUAD when the time comes to begin their college search.”  To read Andrea’s full essay, click here.

A Message from CISV Jacksonville President Lisa Taylor

Summer is here and it’s time for CISV Jacksonville to begin its busiest season of educating and inspiring action for a more just and peaceful world.   In just a few weeks, our delegations will begin to leave for their programs around the world, and the Danish and French interchange delegations will arrive in Jacksonville.

This summer each program’s educational content will focus on Diversity, which explores the identity of the individual and asks us to consider ourselves within our own and the wider community.  Click here to learn more about this content area.
We hope you can join us for the Farewell Party this coming Sunday and for fireworks with the French and Danish interchanges on July 4. More details below.
