Greetings to Parents and Participants of South Regional Minicamp!
Your chaperones for this trip are Kathryn Seigler, longtime CISV chaperone and teacher, and Anna Jacobson, teacher, co-adviser to the JB Board and SRMC newbie. We wanted to go over some of the basic info you’ll need for the trip.
Departure Day/Time: Friday, September 4th. We’ll meet at The Mango, also known as the parking lot behind the San Marco Presbyterian Church. Please be there by 5 p.m.
Return Day/Time: Monday, September 7th. We plan to be back by 2 p.m. and will have the kids call you when we’re about an hour outside of Jacksonville.
Stuff to Remember:
- Please make sure you give a copy of your Youth Legal Form (YLIF) and your Health Form to Anna Jacobson. You can email those to her as an attachment before departure . If you don’t email them, please bring them to the departure point.
- Please make sure to bring money for dinner on the way up to SRMC and lunch on the way back down. It’s also a good idea to set yourself up with snacks for the road.
- For the camp, you will need a towel, bedding or a sleeping bag, and a pillow. Clothing should be casual. Please do your best to pack light so you’ve got some leg room in the van. Don’t forget your toothbrush and other basics—we’re far from stores where you can easily grab toiletries.
- Here’s a list of the folks attending if you want to get in touch to arrange carpool or anything else fun like that: Anand Bhatia, Alex Blaudow, Reza Chalavi, Atticus Dickson, Olivia Kato, Delaney McClure, Emma Notari, Anya Raheja, Danya Rukab, Raya Rukab, and Cassidy Spencer. Nikita Raheja will be flying in about 1P on Fri 9/4 to Atlanta as part of the SRMC staff, but will be driving back.
